I'd say try Amazon or Ebay. |

Ebay and amazon would be the obvious answer. But since the release of the new ps3 slim and its so damn cheap the shops are ripping off an extra $100 of the price. Now would be a great time to buy. If your not going to do any of the above (ebay, amazon or shops)..Try going on sites that have private auctions, they get advertised a lot on the internet on the side bars.. |

I'd stay away from used 360's, even if there is a replace/ repair warranty, do you really want to buy someone else's system just to lose it to Microsoft for 6 weeks while they send you another one because this one you just bought broke? Why not try to buy a HARDDRIVE CHEAP instead? There's fewer reports of those breaking down (although they can), you can get a 60GB on ebay for cheap, and a 20GB for even cheaper. Here in the states though, they just dropped the price to compete with the PS3 pricedrop, so you may want to consider that too. They're still not "cheap " cheap, but "New " and "full warranty " are always way nicer than the crapshoot of buying someone else's castoffs, right? |

You don't have to buy the elite if all you play to do is play online I've had my 360 elite for almost 2 years now and of the 120gb available I still have nearly 100gb remaining But if it is the elite you do want then I'd say you're best off buying a bundle package Now I don't know whether you live in the Uk the US or somewhere else but in the UK many retailers do bundle deals for example game.co.uk have a deal which gives you an elite console and 2 games for £199.99. When they advertise these deals they advertise them with 2 set games but if you actually go into the shop and talk to a sales adviser I'm sure they can swap the games for you like the did when I bought mine. Good luck in joining the xbox live community and I hope I've helped :) |

GAME sell the Xbox360 Elite with 2 games for under £199.99 now, due to the release of the slimline PS3, the Xbox360 had a price crash, (not that it had anything to worry about). You probably won't save much buying 2nd hand, and will most likely miss out on some excellent deals too. Incidently, don't worry about the scare-stories from the PS3 fanboys who hate that their system isn't selling compared to the Wii and Xbox360, (at least neither of them blow up like the PS3 did on launch), even if your Xbox360 does go belly up, you'll be without it for about 2 weeks at most for repairs, (and for people with friends, IE; not a PS3 fanboy, 2 weeks is nothing). |
