Quick Emergency Question!! My mom's friend is selling her a brand new Xbox 360 Elite (with Pure and Lego Batman) for $260. But we won't be getting the receipt as well as not knowing what store the bundle was purchased from. Should I just get a Xbox 360 Elite bundle from Gamestop instead? I would get the receipt and a warranty. Would Gamestop have a warranty? Thanks Alot!! Answer fast please! I need a quick response.

As long as she hasn't registered it yet, it's OK to not have the receipt. After buying it, you can register it on xbox.com and will have the year warranty from Microsoft.

MS site says you need proof of purchase for warranty (read their T &C). People online say different... Xboxes have an AWFUL failure rate. I'd love to have got an Xbox this Xmas for my GF, but I went with PS3 due to the horrific failure rate of Xboxes (online talk , and from word of mouth 3 people had their Xbox fail within a week of each other)
