It all comes down to whether or not you want to play the exclusives on the 360. Gears of War 1 & 2, Halo 3, Fable 2, Mass Effect, Dead Rising, Lost Odyssey just to name a few. If you have no interest in these games, only multiplatform games, then it's definitely not worth it. If you choose a 360, an Elite is a great investment. It has a huge honkin hard drive, which is going to come in handy when the fall update comes out, because you'll have the option of installing entire games onto your hard drive. That way, when you play, the loading times are shorter, and your disc drive doesn't spin. This is different from the PS3 installs because it is a complete install and it's totally optional. Another thing about the fall update that has me really excited is the Netflix partnership. All you need is Xbox Live Gold ($50 a year, I know, sucks, but it's worth it) and a Netflix membership (cheapest is $9/ month), and you can stream unlimited movies to your xbox anytime. Also, the bigger hard drive is nice to have in case you decide to purchase any of the Xbox Originals, which can take up to 4 or 5 GB each. I have an elite, and it's awesome not to worry about hard drive space like I did when I had my 20 GB. I leave tons of demos on my 360 and it feels like I just have way more options. PS, the RRoD isn't really a problem anymore with the new chipsets.

Xbox 360 is better then the PS3 by a long shot. Better Online, Better Games, Graphics, and Xbox Live is the best thing you will ever expierence you can download movies, Games, Upload Pictures, Listen to music, It's basically a Computer also there about to Release a new update for the Xbox 360 that will make online even better.

The only differences between the Xbox360 elite and the pro is the Hard Drive size, and the colour. Oh and the price too. Over the next couple of weeks there should be a price drop on the Pro version in the US to make way for a pro version with a 60GB hard drive. The key differences between your PS3 and your Xbox are that your Xbox requires you to pay for online play, but the service is a little better. More exclusive games are released on the Xbox360, including Left 4 Dead, Gears of War2, and Fable2. Notable games that are coming out for your PS3 include Resistance2, and Little Big Plannet. Games that are coming out for both systems include Fallout3, Mirrors Edge, and Final Fantasy XIII. The Red Ring of Death "RRoD " is a constant problem with about 33% of Xbox Pro consoles. However the Xbox elites are less prone to the problem (about 10%). Both Microsoft and Sony announced that they would improve their consoles by offering more downloadable movies, if you have a Netflix account you will be able to stream High Definintion movies to your console at no extra cost. By the end of the year the Xbox will have the option to save games to the Hard Drive, saving on loading times. The PS3 already has this feature.
