Question: Can i use a regular hard drive in a xbox 360 elite console? ?

Recently I got the red ring of death, for the 3rd time. But my cousin is willing to let me use his until the time I get mine repaired. My gamertag is saved to my original Xbox 20gb hard drive and I don't want to recover it on his 120gb elite hard drive. Am I able to put my hard drive into his Elite Console without any problem? If you don't have an answer people don't leave comments like "Wow, 3 times you must overplay " because the fact of matter is that I play maybe 5 hours a week or less. Thanks for your help! Yes, yes you can! All of the hard drives are interchangeable, and with very little internal memory, pretty much everything is stored on the hard drive and thus can be carried over.

I don't care i dont think anyone does yeah switch hard drives and it should work if any message come up don't blame me i would do it but i don't play video games but i got a good friend that works for microsoft

That sucks. I'm on my third console now. I'm pretty sure you can use it. My friend has an elite, and he uses an extra 20Gb that he bought separate with it.
