Question: Whats the difference between an xbox 360 arcade console and an xbox 360 elite console?

I know that the arcade console is $100 cheaper but why is that?

The arcade does not come with a hard drive. the Elite comes with a 120gb hard drive. that is why there is a difference in price. you are paying for the large drive capacity. depending on how much game play you are planning on doing is how you should decide which to get. i know people who have gotten the arcade, and purchased a 20gb hard drive on ebay for $30 bucks and it works for them just fine. I have the elite which works for me because i download alot of themes, gamer pics, demos, and i download my game to the hard drive so that i can give my fan and disc drive a rest. For the accessories arcade has 256 mu but elite has a headset,120gb hard,Ethernet cable and a HD MI cable
