Question: At present scenario which game console is the best xbox 360 elite or ps3?
(Posted by: coolguy on 2009-06-22 08:50:55)
I strongly decided to buy one of theses(XBOX 360 elite or PS3) , but before that i would like some suggestions from you. Which console is best, in terms of price, graphics, after buying which needs extra money to be spent for more entertainment?? I heard that XBOX games could be downloaded, which saves me lot more money . what do u suggest??? does XBOX overcome the ring of death problem. that is the main reason i'm not going for XBOX |

PS3 is chepaer in the long run. Doesn't have as many extra costs as the 360 does. 360 is cheaper when it comes to initial price. For now, 360 has a bigger library, but the PS3 is doing a good job trying to keep up with quality titles. Both are essentially the same in terms of graphics with multiplatform games. PS3 has the edge for exclusive since its the most technologically advanced console available. Blu-Ray discs don't scratch easily so games are kind of a safer investment compared to the PS3. PS3 is more flexible with accessories and upgrades. I'd say go for the PS3. |

PS3, they cost the same, are almost the same console (the only difference is the D-pad and Right analog stick are the same, PS3 has all the games or a substitute for them on it. Xbox 360 needs more money overall, Xbox Live Gold costs $50 dollars the PSN is free. No matter what Xbox 360 gamers say the PS3 has the same online capabilities as Xbox. I have heard some sayting the PSN is laggier but it is not lag depends on connection not console. Both have downloadable games. PS3 has more graphical power but few games use it (but when they do it is amazing). A high number of Xbox 360's get the red ring of death (it's a one in some singe digit number chance). PS3 is a blu-ray player and costs as much as other blu-ray players. |

PS3 of course in the long run it's cheaper as you have to pay 50$/ 60$ for Xbox live every year and it has the ring of death (99% you will get it) xbox 360 reached it's limit but PS3 hasn't so after 1 year ps3 graphics will be better as for games it don't think it's has pirated games also ps3 has better games coming out : MAG(256 online players on one map) 2- god of war 3 3- killzone 2 (released ) 4-mgs4 ( released ) 5-infamous(released) |

Microsoft fixed the RROD (red ring of death) by putting in a new chip. When they did that, they launched the NXE. (New Xbox Experience) Now if your console goes for repair, it will either be yours being repaired OR will be swapped with a refurbished 360 with the chip included. When you say "Xbox games can be downloaded ", it means that the contents of the disk/ game can be saved to the HDD and so the game loads faster. Both consoles offer downloads of full games and demos off their online service. Xbox controllers don't have Bluetooth technology so they leave you restricted to pointing the controller at the console. Xbox 360 works out expensive because you have to buy a WiFi adaptor for the Xbox 360, a charge pack for controllers (can stick with disposables though), Xbox LIVE membership card to let you play online. With the PS3, you have rechargeable controllers, built in WiFi and Free online. Works out a heck lot cheaper. A good Blu-Ray player on the market are over £300. Sometimes more. The PS3 has a built in Blu Ray player, which can easily play BD (Blu-Ray) movies. It also upscales your exsisting DVD's to HD resolutions. (They look pretty good) There alot of great games coming out for PS3 this year, for example MAG (Massive Action Game) Uncharted 2: Among Theives Modern Warefare 2 Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising Tekken 6 Wolfenstein And many more. But at the end of the day, it's your choice and it's about what you can afford. Personally I say stick with Sony and get the PS3. |

I wouldn't recommend buying an elite only really serious downloaders are in danger of filling the 60 gig hard drive of the pro, only arcade games and xbox originals can be downloaded , the RROD may be fixed on the elite but there is still plenty of other errors with xboxs, graphics are similar on both consoles on common games ps3 has better graphics on exclusives, xbox needs payment for online play [$50] |
