Question: Xbox 360 elite red ring of death?

I have an xbox 360 elite and this morning when i went to turn it on it gave me the rrod and i unlpugged it within about 5 seconds and tried it again... it gave me the rrod so i desided to unplug it and try to turn it on with the eject button and it worked. i have a 90 day warranty from target and the receipt and someone told me that i should take it in and have them exchange it for a new one (idk if he knows what hes talking about) before waiting and then if their is something wrong with it having to get it repaired for weeks through microsoft. its working fine now and i can power it up through the power button so i dont know if i should exchange it anyways?

If you got the rrod then your system is not ok and if you have to turn it on by doing something different then pushing the button them theres something wrong with your system. If you wait your console will crap out soon so you might as well go ahead and get a new one with your warranty. If you send this one to mircosoft you'll be waiting a while.

If you have had this thing for less than 90 days and it is not working perfectly, take it back to Target and get it replaced. The RRoD warranty from Microsoft has been extended to 3 years, so you still have plenty of warranty coverage left. It usually takes 2 to 3 weeks for repairs from the time you send it off to the time you get it back.

Once it starts, it's not going to stop. I would say go ahead and see if target will do and exchange. Better to be without it for a while than to be living on borrowed time.
