Question: Xbox 360 elite wired microphone problems?

I baught a xbox 360 elite 2 days ago and my microphone worked perfect. i turned on my 360 joined a party and no one can hear me talking? i can hear them but no one can hear me? how do i fix it?? the little switch is up.. :( ima go back to gamestop and get it replaced since i baught it 2 days ago i have the 30 day return policy thingie

There's a little knob or button that you push left or right. push it to one side or the other until someone can hear you. if not check to make sure you dont have communication settings that prevent you from talking to people who aren't your friends.

Make sure the lil switch on ur mic is showing green, if its orange turn the switch to make it green. also if ur in the party and the mic pic is not there turn ur xbox on and off to reboot it.
