Question: How can i tell if my xbox 360 elite has the new jasper chip?

I bought it on June 4th, 2009. Brand new Xbox 360 Elite. How do I check if I got the new Jasper Chip? Thanks. Will give best answer.

Odds are that you got the Falcon chip. I read somewhere that the Elite isn't going to get the Jasper chip. Anyway, look at the power brick. If it's 175W, then it's a Falcon. If it's 150W, then it's a Jasper. Also look on the back, where the serial number is located. Look for 12,1 A (I think it's 12,1 A but it's 12, something). That's a Jasper. If it's 15,? A, then it's a Falcon.

The xbox 360's with the new jasper chips won't be in xbox 360s till august of 2009. meaning you got the falcon chip. it makes little difference because the falcon is a great working chip. but the thing with 150 watts on your power brick will tell you if you have falcon or jasper. click on the link i provided
