If you are getting an xbox, definitely get the elite. 120gb hard drive as compared to a 60gb hard drive you have to buy separately if you get the arcade. online play - you buy an xbox live card (wal mart, best buy, etc) and it's $50 for 12 months. you also get one month free when you connect your email address to the online play. wireless is not built in to the xbox and the wireless for the system is $99.99, otherwise you can run an ethernet cable to where ever you need it. graphics goes up to 1080p with an HDMI cable or component cable. if you are getting an elite and into racing games, you better get Forza Motorsport 3 because it is ridiculously awesome. RROD is a concern but microsoft has a 3 year warranty against RROD, if it happens you can just send it in and they'll repair it for free. Best Buy just changed their Black Tie Protection so it doesn't cover rrod.

The Elites have the newest and best software and the highest memory capacity. Definitely get the extended warranty on it though. RROD is still a concern.

Ok i have both a ps3 and 360 so dont take this answer as a fanboy comment. Online - play is great you do have to pay for live ($50 a year) but you get what you pay for live to me is a lot better than psn because its more of a community with a lot of things on it. Exclusives - here is a list of exclusives game for 360 en.wikipedia.org/ wiki/ Category:Xbox_360-only_games. microsoft has also gotten a lot of exclusive dlc the last year or so. Memory - the elite comes with a 120 gb hdd. Rrod - its becoming less of an issue since the newer 360s have better heat sinks and smaller chips to help prevent over heating but the best advice is to keep it in an open place and not leave it on for super long periods of time. also the rrod is covered free for three years from purchase and on average only take a week or two to get your console back and you receive a free month of live when you get your console back to compensate you for the time you lost. Graphics - to me right now most games have better graphics on the 360 because most developers use it to make their games and just port them over to ps3 since 360 is simpler and a lot of people have trouble making games on the ps3 because of the advanced hardware. Hdmi - it has a hdmi port it used to come with a cord but i dont think thats the case anymore Features - well a lot of the features were what were in the question but there is party chat, 1 vs 100 which is a free trivia game you play with people all over the world and you can win prizes facebook and a lot of other things i love both my consoles but as a whole package my elite definitely gets it done for me
